I got new books!

I have been bad and not reading as much lately. I blame Netflix for that, I know, I'm horrible. I was craving to read the other day, so I went on a little buying spree. I swear having a Nook makes it so much easier!

Yup, I have never read The Great Gatsby, but that shall change shortly my friends! 

The Future of Us

I am really excited about this one! It's all about some kids in the 90's who see their Facebook pages because of some weird twist. 

The Paris Wife

This one is all about Ernest Hemingway's wife Hadley (I love that name BTW) and takes place in, duh, Paris. I have been obsessed with Paris lately, no idea why, but man do I want to go there. So hopefully this book will take me there.

This is how you crash a party.

Here lately The Toddler has been obsessed with Star Wars. I was trying to push Harry Potter on him, but alas, his father won and my kid is a Star Wars nerd. He had been asking for everything Darth Vader related for his birthday, including decorations. I went one and above folks, I got a real Stormtrooper and Tie Fighter! One of my Moms friends is a official Trooper and responded kindly to our begging to come, he also has a Tie Fighter costume, so my Moms other friend (and a former teacher of mine) wore that one. 


Sadly, The Toddler was not into it. He was deathly afraid, something we hadn't thought would happen. Why that didn't cross our mind? I have NO clue. The adults had a blast though getting their pictures taken. Here are some of the highlights.

Happy Birthday to The Toddler!

Today is my amazing little guy's third birthday! I can't believe that I have been a Mom for 3 years and have been privileged to be with this funny,loving, expressive boy 24/7. Instead of getting all sorts of sappy (that would be this post with my birth story) I made a slide show of his 3 years of life thus far. 

Instagram love!

Are you on Instagr.am yet? I have been obsessed with this app lately. Like, non-stop updating, refreshing  stalking. It has become Facebook for me, I really only used Facebook to whore out oddly colored pictures of myself where I looked nothing like my actual weight do the angles I have discovered. So having one more place to be a attention whore has been amazing for me! 

The concept is easy enough, you just upload your picture, pick the filter that makes you look the most amazing, or the food you are taking a picture of the most delicious, upload it, and people will comment or like it! You can also have it  automatically update to your Twitter, Facebook, or Tumblr. 

Funny enough, I have been using this app as a reader of sorts. I am going to be 100% honest, I have never been good with Google reader. I use the same reader that comes with a blogger account, or Twitter and Facebook updates. But now the new thing is to take a picture of your blog post and post it on Instagr.am , so now I know to click over and do me some readin!
